The Stahl Family Dentistry team is an all-star lineup of time-tested dental professionals, many having worked at this location for decades. Our treatment rooms feature surgically clean air, massage chairs, and tv screens on the ceiling. In addition, we can stream a large variety of music, television, and movies; just let us know what you'd enjoy.
We enhance our services with the most effective, leading-edge dental technology, such as an iTero digital scanner and a CBCT 3-D scanner. We use these tools in planning dental implants to ensure their placement is as accurate as possible. We can also view your underlying mouth structures in high resolution and in real-time, which helps us recommend the treatments with the highest level of success.

Dr. Sarah Stahl, DDS
Dentist and Practice Owner
Dr. Sarah Stahl is a proud wife to her husband Allen and mother to their three girls: Eden, Emily and Charlotte. She was born and raised in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and is proud to call herself a Yooper! At least once a year, Dr. Stahl and her family make the long journey across the Mackinaw Bridge to their property in the UP to visit with family and friends and enjoy all the natural beauty that the UP has to offer. She likes to share some of the UP with her staff by bringing them back northern traditions like Pasties and Trenary Toast!
In pursuit of furthering her education, Dr. Stahl left the UP to attend Albion College. It was there she met her husband Allen, who is an Albion native. Dr. Stahl loved her time in Albion, through her studies and involvement in different clubs and organizations she made many local community connections. In 2009, the couple graduated from Albion College. Dr. Stahl went on to attend the University of Michigan School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2013. After graduation from Dental School she completed a General Practice Residency at the Ann Arbor VA Hospital, where she had the privilege of providing dental care to Veterans who served our country.
Dr. Stahl and the family decided to return to Albion and make it their permanent home in 2016. She began working with Dr. Stumpos in 2020. She is proud to have purchased the practice in 2021. I am so excited to provide dentistry and own my own practice in the community I call home. I am passionate about Albion and seeing it prosper. I want to become invested in Albion and be a part of its future. Dr Stumpos has build a successful practice in Albion, providing exceptional dental care for its community, I am honored to continue this legacy.
One thing about being a dentist Dr. Stahl finds especially rewarding is getting to know you on a personal level. Living in a small town, familiarity makes treating your dental needs much more meaningful. She enjoys restoring teeth so that you can eat more comfortably and finds no better feeling than helping a patient fall back in love with their smile.
Outside her dental office, she enjoys taking her girls to activities and sporting events. The whole family enjoys the country life, tending to their garden and yard. Their free time is spent outside swimming, going for nature walks, bike riding, and camping.
Dr. Lane Stumpos, DDS
Dentist
Dr. Lane Stumpos is a long-time Albion resident. He opened his dental office in March of 1986 after graduating from the University Of Michigan School of Dentistry. He did his undergrad at Michigan State University, so he's an alum of both schools, he's a Spartan and a Wolverine!
What Dr. Stumpos enjoys about being a dentist is meeting new people. His goal is always to address their dental needs while not losing sight of each person’s individuality. He has always tried to treat each patient like family, understanding that needs vary from person to person.
Dr. Stumpos has thoroughly enjoyed treating the Albion community and is so thankful for all the relationships he has made Though he sold the practice to Dr. Stahl in 2022, he continues to care for patients with no current plans for retirement.
When he's not at work, you might find him on the golf course or playing Pickleball.
Maria Wilson
Office Manager
Maria Wilson is our Office Manager and director of all things. She has been in the dental field since 1999 and has worked here since 2005. A graduate of Western Michigan University, she is in charge of our day to day operations and working out scheduling and financial plans.
Maria married her high school sweetheart and has two college-aged daughters, one attending Western Michigan (Go Broncos!) and the other at Michigan State. She also has two dogs, Isla and Ruby, who rule the roost. In her free time, Maria enjoys reading, the beach and trying new restaurants and breweries.
Pam Messerly
Registered Dental Assistant
Pam Messerly is a Registered Dental Assistant who has worked alongside Dr Stumpos for 35 years and counting. A graduate of Lansing Community College, Pam is our in house resident with temporary crowns, partials and dentures. She loves getting to know the patients and helping to make their appointment as comfortable as she can.
During the warmer temps Pam and her husband Dan enjoy spending time on the golf course. Pam is an avid golfer and during the summer is involved with many tournaments in the area. Pam also enjoys time with her son Zach.
Lisa Kik
Registered Dental Hygienist
Getting her start in dentistry in 1992, Lisa Kik has been a dental hygienist with Dr. Stumpos since the beginning of her career! Lisa loves working with patients and treasures the relationships she has made over the years. She is dedicated to helping you maintain a healthy smile free from tooth decay and gum disease.
Outside the office, Lisa is very family oriented, devoted to her husband Tom, their three children, and five grandchildren - ALL BOYS! Lisa enjoys time with family and her Old English Bulldogs - Maggie, Millie and Molly. During the summer months you will find Lisa enjoying or chasing the boys around the pool while enjoying her favorite beverage, Diet Coke.
Sue Robinson
Dental Assistant
Many of you know our Albion native Sue Robinson. Her family owned Harrison's Orchard for many years, and we still miss those apples! She started in Dentistry in 1979 after graduation from Albion High School. Sue will always work to make you feel comfortable while you are here.
What she finds especially rewarding about being a dental assistant is getting to know the patients and being a part of their treatment from start to finish. Her experience aids her in providing whatever support patients may need during their visit.
Sue has been married to Red for over 40 years and loves spending time with her three grandchildren. Give her a wave when you pass her in her Jeep Wrangler.
Christina Zerbe-Weicht
Registered Dental Hygienist
Christina Zerbe-Weicht graduated from Kellogg Community College in 2010 and has been with the practice since 2012. She enjoys many aspects of being a dental hygienist, especially helping patients with their dental health. Her goal is also to help with patient education so that you better understand your treatment options.
Christina is very family-oriented and enjoys spending free time with her husband Jake and daughter Harper. She also enjoys time with her parents and extended family.
Missy Fitzpatrick
Dental Assistant
Starting in the field of dentistry in 2000, Missy Fitzpatrick worked in a dental office in Jackson, MI, where she moved up from the front office to become a dental assistant. She began working with Dr. Stumpos in 2011 and is exciting to continue working with Dr Stahl.
As a dental assistant, Missy assists the dentist in all procedures, including taking x-rays, impressions, and scans of patients’ teeth. She also is active with patient care. Her favorite part of her job is the connections she gets to make. Missy loves to talk and truly enjoys chatting with patients.
In her free time, Missy enjoys her three amazing children, two girls and a 15-year-old son who is still at home. She also loves time with Zeus, the family dog, and is an avid fitness buff, doing CrossFit 3-4 days a week.
Kristen Ladd
Registered Dental Hygienist
As a dental hygienist, Kristen Ladd spends her days helping patients maintain and improve their oral health. She comes from the area, being a Homer High School graduate and then receiving her dental training at Kellogg Community College in 2019. She has been with Stahl Family Dentistry since 2021.
Kristen enjoys building a good rapport with patients and making personal connections. She also finds it rewarding when patients make improvements in their home care, and she celebrates those milestones with them and their families.
At home, Kristen is also very family-oriented. She spends her free time with her husband and her happy, smiley son Krew, enjoying watching him learn new things.
Robin Bussing
Dental Assistant
Robin Bussing has been a dental assistant since 1992. She knew she wanted to be a dental assistant when she was young after an emergency trip to the dentist. After graduating from the Calhoun Area Career Center she quickly realized her goal is to make patients smile by getting to know them. She loves making each visit as comfortable as she can by getting to know you and easing any concerns you may have.
Robin has been married for 25 years and enjoys spending time with her two daughters, Raelyn and Jamee. A few fun facts - She likes Mexican food. She loves to spend time in Florida. She has been a 4H beef club leader in Calhoun County for 20 years, helping kids to prepare their steer for fair week!
